Muhammad Cartoon "Protests"

BBC Reports today that "Anger grows over Muhammad Cartoon"

There have been anti-French and Danish protests in Pakistan over the cartoons but one Jordanian paper reprinted them urging Muslims to "be reasonable".

Palestinian gunmen briefly surrounded EU offices in Gaza to demand an apology over the cartoons.

Hundreds of students demonstrated in the Pakistani cities of Lahore and Multan, burning flags and effigies of the Danish prime minister.

Oh the Islamic world is sooooooo outraged by cartoon. Where is their outrage when in the name of Islam "infidels" are kidnapped and decapitated alive in front of a camera in Iraq ? Where is their outrage when brainwashed Muslim fanatics blow themselves up in Israel killing and maiming thousands of people including women and children ? Where is the outrage at the practice of honor killings of women and young girls for "crimes" such as flirting ? They are not outraged by the atrocities their correligionists committing against "infidels" and other Muslims round the world, but when some newspaper publishes silly Muhammad cartoons--that's an outrage !!! I have only one thing to say about these cartoon rioters -- barbarians, fanatics and savages whose behavior deserves nothing but a contempt of a civilized world.

They shouldn't have published pictures like that.

In Islam we're not even allowed to draw pictures of the Prophet peace be upon him.

We dont draw pictures of Jesus or Moses, we respect all the prophets.

We love our prophet peace be upon him.

Sorry, muslim, but in a free world, like it or not, religion and religious figures can be portrayed and mocked. Faithful can peacefully protest and boycot the media or countries who mock their religion, but all this rage we are witnessing now goes far beyond the peaceful protests. We've seen death threats and physical attacks made against Danish and other European citizens in the Middle East. We heard calls from Islamic terror groups to attack European targets. The offices of Danish Newspaper that carried these cartoons had to be evacuated after bomb threats and cartoonists had to go into hiding. Does it sound like an acceptable behavior to you ?

If Islam is a "Religion of Peace", then mullahs and Imams from every mosque should demand from the faithful to respect the rights of non-believers, even those who mock Islam. They should encourage fighting with arguments, not bombs or knives. What we see instead ? Do you hear mullahs calling on their flock to calm down ? Or do they encourage violence instead ? It looks like it's latter rather than former. Doesn't sound like a "Religion of Peace" to me if anyone who publicly criticizes this religion is a subject to threats, intimidation up to a murder.
